CADDO Pecan (bare root)
The Caddo pecan tree is vigorous and bears at an early age. The nuts are medium in size with yields of 65 nuts per pound, and shells out to 55 % kernels. The bright straw-colored, elongated kernels are packed with a delicious nutty flavor and the aromatic oil that issues a pleasing perfume when the kernels are toasted. The Caddo pecan nut yields have exceeded most other pecan cultivars in experimental trials by the USDA, and the yields are consistent and predictable as the trees mature – avoiding alternate years crops like most other cultivars. This papershell Caddo pecan has extremely thin hulls that can be cracked easily. There are sharp points on each end of the Caddo pecan, making it distinctive and easy to identify.
